It turns out that I was the cause of one of our largest wrecks at Gateway and I pulled Stofer aside to personally apologize to him, but after watching the broadcast and my replay, he was not the only one to suffer damage or destruction. I feel it's important to show you guys that I did the best I knew how to do under the circumstances. After watching the replay and talking to my spotter, it would appear that I never had connection problems or blinked as it looked like I just didn't go! See what I saw...
After the screen went blank, my brain hoped that it would pop back quickly and after it didn't, my logical next step was to pull to the inside and hope that you guys would follow the racing line by me and either ghost or be clear of me. As you can see at the conclusion that was not the case. Because you all could see me and I've never blinked before, I can only attribute it to an Iracing bug that popped up at the worst time possible.
Again, I'm so sorry to have ruined many good cars and a bunch of great guys' evening, but It was simply out of my control.
Soup, Sean? If you feel the need to use this vid in any educational way, you have my complete permission. - And now you know..... the rest of the story.
That explains a lot, thanks for clearing it up. Could have happened to anyone, nothing you can do about it. We'll just have to call it "mechanical failure". Luckily I just lost a front wing and was able to have it repaired.
